HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES - 02141984 - 84-04 (2) 1, 17 ORDINANCE NO. 84- n (Public Guardian) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code) : SECTION I. Section 24-25. 002 of the County Ordinance Code is amended, -to reflect the recent resignation of Dr. Leff by providing that the Board' s appointment of the Public Guardian shall be by resolution rather than ordinance, to read : 24-25. 002 Office, pay, appointment. The office of public guardian is created in this county, and shall be filled by Board appointment by resolution. The functions of such subordinate positions as may be necessary shall be performed by personnel of other departments. The public guardian shall not receive any compensation for services as such. (Ords. 84- 4 , 81-81 §2 : formerly §24-14 . 004 : See §§33-5. 351 & 33-5. 313 , and W. &I.C. 9§8000ff. ) SECTION II. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage, and within 15 days after passage shall be published once, with the names of the supervisors voting for and against it, in the MARTINEZ NE!-IS-GAZETTE a newspaper published in this County. PASSED on February 14 , 1984 , by the following vote : AYES : Supervisors - Powers, Fanden, Schroder, ' Torlakson. NOES : Supervisors - None. ABSENT: Supervisors - McPeak.
