BACKGROUND AND REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS: Public Works Department staff has been working with Hultgren-Tillis Engineers on various on-call projects in the County which required geotechnical expertise. Through the course of the contract the on-call funding amount has been depleted and an increase in the contract amount is needed to assure timely completion of our current on-call projects. A significant amount of this additional contract funding is needed in order to complete the analysis of critical levee improvements and bridge scour repair work. The existing consulting services agreement with Hultgren-Tillis Engineers was established in June of 2006. This amendment increases the payment limit to $250,000. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Negative action will result in the delay in completing projects requiring geotechnical engineering services in a timely manner.
