RECOMMENDATION:.
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20641,to add one(1) permanent full-time Criminalist III (EDTA) position at salary level
VN51922 ($7,165-8,709) and cancel one(1) Deputy Sheriff-Criminalist III (6DTB) position(#2934)as recommended by the Interim
Director of Human Resources. a
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action will result in a net cost savings of approximately $22,879 for Fiscal Year 2008/09 and an ongoing annual cost savings of
$38,000. -
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff is requesting this action in conjunction with Risk Management and the Deputy Sheriffs Association to make an
accommodation for an employee. In the case that the incumbent is able to meet appropriate pre-requisites.for sworn status in the
future,the employee will be recommended for reversion to Deputy Sheriff-Criminalist III.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved, the employee will not be able to perform sworn duties nor return to her position, due to cancellation of
her position. /
