(District IV) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDED ACTION: RESCIND Traffic Resolution No.2004/4080,and ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2008/4274 establishing speed limits on Taylor Boulevard (Road No. 3552A), Pleasant Hill area. FISCAL IMPACT: None. BACKGROUND AND REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS: To enable law enforcement to enforce the speed limits. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Unable to use local authorities' powers to enforce the California Vehicle Code. The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES that: On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations thereon by the County Public Works Department's Traffic Engineering Division and pursuant to County Ordinance Code Sections 46-2.002 - 46-2.012, the following traffic regulation is established (and other action taken as indicated): Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California Vehicle Code, the following speed limits are established for the unincorporated portions of Taylor Boulevard(Road No.3552A),Pleasant Hill area. 40 miles per hour, from the Pleasant Hill Road gore and extending northerly to a point 900 feet north of the gore, and 55 miles per hour, from a point 900 feet north of the Pleasant Hill Road gore,and extending northerly to the Pleasant Hill City limit near Twinview Place. Traffic Resolution No. 4080 pertaining to the existing speed limit is hereby rescinded. I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown. The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors RESOLVES that: On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations thereon by the County Public Works Department's Transportation Engineering Division and pursuant to County Ordinance Code Sections 46-2.002—46-2.012, the following traffic regulation is established (and other action taken as indicated): Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California Vehicle Code the following speed limits are established for the unincorporated sections of Taylor Boulevard, Pleasant Hill area. 35 miles per hour, from the Pleasant Hill Road gore to a point 1500 feet north of the gore, and 55 miles per hour, from a point 1500 feet north of the Pleasant Hill Road gore to the Pleasant Hill City limits. Traffic Resolution Nos. 1745 and 1746 pertaining to speed limits are hereby rescinded.
