(District III) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDED ACTION: ADOPT Resolution No. 2008/ratifying the prior decision of the Public Works Director,or designee,to fully close a portion of West Griffon Street between Lusitano Street&Welshland Street,Charbray Street from Massara Street to the end,and Massara Street from Welshland Street to the end,on October 2,2008 until October 2,2009,24 hours per day, for the purpose of construction site security, (cross-reference Subdivision 04-08943 and Road Acceptance 05-01186),Danville area. (District III) FISCAL IMPACT: None. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND: Applicant shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Applicant will not have Board approval for completed road closure. (District III) RC-08-8 IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that permission is granted to Shapell Homes to fully close West Griffon Street between Lusitano Street & Welshland Street, Charbray Street from Massara Street to the end, and Massara Street from Welshland Street to the end, except for emergency traffic, on October 2, 2008 until October 2, 2009, 24 hours per day, subject to the following conditions: 1. Traffic will be detoured via neighboring streets. 2. All signing to be in accordance with the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. 3. Shapell Homes shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of$1,000,000.00 for Comprehensive General Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured prior to permit issuance. 5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department, the California Highway Patrol and the Fire District.
