SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, 'or his designee (Pat Godley) to execute on
behalf of the County, Contract #23-341-6 with Marc Miyashiro, a self-employed individual, in an
amount not to exceed $165,000, to provide technical writing services for the Department's
Information Systems Unit, for the period from December 1, 2008 through November 30, 2009.
FISCAL IMPACT:-
This Contract is funded 100%by budgeted Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
On November 27, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-341-5 with Marc
Miyashiro for the period from December 1, 2007 through November 30, 2008, for the provision of
technical writing services for creating and maintaining information systems user guides including
providing end user documentation for both written and electronic applications, coordinating
technical documentation, providing assistance in establishing Department document formats and
documenting user requirements.
Approval of Contract #23-341-6 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through
November 30, 2009.
