Background and Reasons for Recommendations: The name of the contractor is incorrect on the original contract, which listed as Klute-Fernandes Demolition and Excavating as the Contractor. The amendment reflects the correct business name as Klute Demolition, a Partnership. The Contra Costa County Fire District has requested time to conduct training sessions. The schedule for demolition could also be affected by weather; therefore the term of the contract is proposed to be extended by one month. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: The demolition would not be completed in a timely manner.
