Cartwright,M.D.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
Correct the Board Order which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 6, 2007, (C.93)
with Wade Cartwright, M.D., a professional corporation to correct the term of the Contract from
November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2009 to November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2008, to
provide Otolaryngology services for the Contra Costa Health Plan members.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (Health Plan) member premiums. Costs
depend upon utilization.
BACKGROUNDIREASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
On October 4, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-551-3 with Wade Cartwright,
M.D., for the period November 1, 2005 through October 31, 2007, to provide professional
Otolaryngology services to Contra Costa Health Plan members.
Unfortunately,the Board Order reflected an incorrect term. The term should read a one-year term ending
October 31, 2008, as mutually agreed upon by both County and Contractor, instead of a two-year term
ending October 31, 2009.
The purpose of the Board Order is to correct the term allowing the Contractor to continue to provide
Otolaryngology services,through October 31, 2008.
