Contra FROM: Lori Gentles, Assistant County Administrator- o' „;,,;, =; Costa x•, a Y,� Director of Human Resources a ®•�� DATE: January 8, 2008 TA 651T County SUBJECT: Position Adjustment Resolution # 20497 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Position Adjustment#20497 increasing the hours of the positions, as listed on the attachment. BACKGROUND: From the period between January 1, 2007 and June 30, 2007, the listed employees have consistently worked over their current position hours based on the operational needs of their respective divisions. Because there is a permanent need for these employees to work increased hours, the Health Services Department would like to increase the hours of these positions, in accordance with the Local #1 MOU. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost associated with this action is $25,696.71, with a total this fiscal year of$10,706.96. The costs, however, are offset by FQHC Revenues and reduction in overtime costs. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, Health Services will continue to work the aforementioned employees beyond their normally scheduled hours. By permanently increasing the hours of these employees, Health Services fully complies with section 52D of the memorandum of understanding between the County and Local One regarding increasing of part-time employees' hours.
