RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20342, to reclassify a Community Health Worker II (VKVB) position (#9456) at salary
level QT5 1043 ($2,942-$3,576) [Represented] and its incumbent to a Community Health Worker Specialist(VKTA) position at salary
level QT51103 ($3,122-$3,795) [Represented]
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of$3,789 which will be offset by Federally Qualified Health Care Facility(FQHC)
funds. This action will result in no net County cost.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to reclassify the Community Health Worker II position and its incumbent to a Community
Health Worker Specialist position because, in recent years, the Healthy Start Program has greatly expanded its client base and the
services that it offers to its clients. Due to this expansion, the incumbent's duties have evolved into a Community Health Worker
Specialist position.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved, the incumbent will continue to perform duties that are outside the scope of her classification and will not
be appropriately compensated.
