SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20510, to add one (1) permanent full-time Clerk-Experienced Level (JWXB)
[Represented] position at salary level 3RH 0750 ($2,629-$3,262) and one(1) permanent full-time Building Inspector I (FAWB)
[Represented] position at salary level QS5 1540 ($4,812-$5,305) as recommended by the Assistant County Administrator-Human
Resources Director
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $164,515 and will be fully funded by revenue generated by a new contract
with the City of Concord. This action will result in no net County cost-
BACKGROUND:
The Building Inspection Department recently entered into a contract with the City of Concord to administer the city's Neighborhood
Preservation program. To effectively provide the services that this contract mandates, the Building Inspection Department is requesting
the addition of these two positions.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved, the Department will not be able be able to effectively provide the services mandated by the contract with
the City of Concord.
