HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02262008 - C.25 (6 In the Matter of RESOLUTION NO. 2008/101 Congratitlating Beverly Wallace on being named the San Pablo Chamber of Commerce 2007 Wornatt of the Year WHEREAS, Beverly Wallace is a Contra Costa County native who has lived most of her lile in West Contra Costa, attending local schools; and WHEREAS, Beverly Wallace worked for Brookside Hospital for 40 years in various areas of management; and WHEREAS, Beverly Wallace is a oil the Board of Directors of the West Contra Costa Healthcare District; and WHEREAS, Beverly Wallace is an advocate for seniors and a strong proponent of accessible, affordable healthcare for all people; and WHEREAS, Ms. Wallace is a past president of Senior Legal Services and active with the Pinole chapter of the AARP; and WHEREAS, Ms. Wallace is a 1nember of the May Valley Neighborhood Council;the Contra Costa Business and Professional Association, the Congress of California Seniors, and the Chambers of Commerce of Richmond, San Pablo, and El Sobrante; and WHEREAS, Beverly Wallace has been honored as the Volunteer of the Year by the Contra Costa Sheriffs Association; and WHEREAS, Ms. Wallace has six children, 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She enjoys family gatherings, traveling and gardening; and NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors congratulates Beverly Wallace on being named the Sail Pablo Chamber of Commerce..2007 Woman of the Year and for her dedicated service to her community.
