SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS) APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff, or designee, to apply for and accept grant funding from the State of California Office of Emergency Services in an amount up to $256,684 for participation in the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team for the period October 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. FISCAL IMPACT No County Costs. Revenue; $256,684, 100% State. BACKGROUND It is anticipated that a total of$4 million in State General Funds will be allocated to Bay Area counties through the Office of Emergency Services.
