IN THE MATTER OF RECOGNIZING RESOLUTION NO. 2008/758
GUILLERMO MUNIZ
FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY
WHEREAS, Mr. Guillermo Muniz, owner of the well-known New Mecca Mexican Restaurant in
Pittsburg, has provided food from hts restaurant for the,monthly meeting:of East County Latino
Families of mental health consiilners for the past ttivelve"years,and
WHEREAS, Mr. Mutuz:has educated the`Latino`fanulies=on cooking and preparing healthy food and has
been an active leader and meniber of the group; and

WHEREAS, Mr''Muniz has supported numerous fundtaising events and activities for the mental health
community by providing food from his restaurant and
WHEREAS;Mr. M niz has consistently provided support to.."individuals suffering from mental illness and.
