with California Psychiatric Transitions,Inc.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute
on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74-143-15 with California Psychiatric
Transitions, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective January 1, 2009, to amend Contract#74-143-14,
to increase the payment limit by $168,000, from $557,500 to a new payment limit of$725,500,
with no change in the original term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment.
BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
On June 17, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-143-14 with California
Psychiatric Transitions, Inc. for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, for the
provision of residential care and mental health services to severely emotionally disturbed adults
including medication support, and individual and group therapy services.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-143-15 will allow the Contractor to provide
services to additional clients, through June 30, 2009.
