RECOMMENDATION
APPROVE Appropriation Adjustment No.3035-
authorizing new revenue for the Public Works
Department Road Fund (0672) in the amount of $136,510 from accumulated depreciation and
estimated salvage and appropriating it to replace specified equipment for the Public Works
Department.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
This action provides appropriations from depreciation and salvage for the replacement of two
backhoes and one truck. The estimated purchase cost of $202,350 will be funded with accumulated
depreciation ($127,210) and estimated salvage ($9,300) and funds ($65,840) from the Public Works
Department Road Fund FY2008/09 Budget.
BACKGROUND
The Public Works Department is replacing two backhoes and a truck that are over 13 years old and in
poor operating condition.
