SUB.IECT: Approve and Authorize the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of
Coggins Drive, on October 20, 2007 from 8:00 am through 6:00 pm, for the purpose of asphalt
concrete paving intersection of Jones Road and Coggins Drive, Walnut Creek area. (District IV)

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
ADOPT Resolution No. 2007� approving and authorizing the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully
close a portion of Coggins Drive, on October 20, 2007 from 8:00 am through 6:00 pm, for the purpose of asphalt
concrete paving intersection of Jones Road and Coggins Drive, Walnut Creek area. (District IV)
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
Applicant shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Applicant will be unable to close the road for planned activities.

the purpose of asphalt concrete paving intersection of Jones Road and Coggins Drive,
Walnut Creek area. (District IV)

IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that permission is granted to C. Overaa&Company to
fully close Coggins Drive, except for emergency traffic, on October 20, 2007 for the period of
8:00am through 6:00pm, subject to the following conditions:
1. Traffic will be detoured via neighboring streets per plan reviewed by Public Works.
2. All signing to be in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
including the California Supplement.
3. C. Overaa&Company shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra
Costa County.
4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance In the amount of $1,000,000.00 for
Comprelicnsive General Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured
prior to permit issuance.
5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department,the Call fornia Hi ghway Patrol
and the Fire District.
