SUBJECT: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Contra Costa County Librarian to Apply for and
Execute a Contract to Accept Fiscal Year 2006/2007 East Bay Community Foundation
Grant Funds Administered by the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council.
SPECIFIC REQUEST (S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Contra Costa County Librarian to apply for and execute a contract to accept
fiscal year 2006/2007 East Bay Community Foundation grant funds administered by the Rodeo Municipal
Advisory Council in the amount of $14,425 for Rodeo Library Services, pursuant to the local refinery Good
Neighbor Agreement. (District 11)
FINANCIAL IMPACT
No matching funds are required.
BACKGROUND
The County currently funds 18 hours of library service at the Rodeo Library. 1P granted, the $14,425 received
from Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council will be used by the Contra Costa County Library to fund six additional
hours of library service, which allows the Library to open two evenings, and two additional hours on Saturdays
thereby providing Rodeo residents more opportunities to make use of the educational and recreational resources
available in the library.
