RECOMMENDATION:
ADD one (1) full-time Clerk-Senior Level (J WXC) (represented) position.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total annual cost associated with this action is approximately $63,276 and 100% funded from
Land Use Application Fees (non-General Fund monies).
BACKGROUND:
The Current/Advance Planning Division has experienced a 1.5% increase in workload with its
clerical support group associated with the hiring of new professional planners and planning
technicians. The requested Senior Level position will relieve the bulk of the overall workload
from two Secretary-Journey Level and require less intensive training.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Insufficient clerical support staff to the Current/Advance Planning Division.
