f " SUBJECT: Contract with Estelle Gregory, M.D., for Psychiatric Evaluations and
Expert Testimony for Conservatorship Cases
BACKGROUND:
Dr. Estelle Gregory provides psychiatric evaluations and expert testimony as requested
by Employment and Human Services Department's (EHSD) Lanterman-Petris-Short
(LPS) program for court-related services and trials. At this time she is the only
psychiatrist EHSD can use and accordingly, EHSD has increased need for her services
as more cases are being brought to trial. Without the increase to her contract EHSD
will not be able to fulfill its legal obligations.
