SUBJECT: P300 #20188-Employment and Human Services
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20188 adding one (1) permanent full-time Social
Worker (XOVC) position. (Represented)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $102,216.00. This position is funded
through State Adult and Aging IHSS funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Department is requesting this due 'to an increase in calls to the Information and Assistance unit.
The additional position would be assigned to the Information and Assistance unit and would allow
Multi-Services Program case managers to better monitor, assess and arrange services to address all
of their client needs more effectively.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Department is unable to add this position, the Information and Assistance unit will have
insufficient staff to provide services to the aging and disabled community.
