SUBJECT: Amend Contract with Bay Area.Psychotherapy Services to Increase the Payment Limit.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, execute a contract
amendment with Bay Area Psychotherapy Services effective December 1, 2006, to increase the payment limit
by $56,000 to a new payment limit of$80,000 with no change in the contract term of March 1, 2006 through
February 29, 2008 to provide additional mental health services for non Medi-Cal eligible clients, and authorize
services that are not covered by Medi-Cal for Medi-Cal eligible clients.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$80,000: 100% County Funds; ..,`
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This contract supports all five of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: 1)
"Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive
Adulthood"; 3) "Families that are Economically Self Sufficient"; 4) "Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing;
and, 5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families" by providing
mental health and other services to Medi-Cal eligible clients and non Medi-Cal eligible clients.
