FISCAL IMPACT: The approval will result in a total annual cost of$22,625.00. BACKGROUND: The San Ramon Library currently has two vacant 20/40 Clerk —Experienced Level positions. The proposed change would increase one of the vacant positions (#6084) to 40/40 Clerk-Experienced Level. The second vacant position (#6213) would be transferred to the Technical Services Unit to replace approximately 17 "extra hours" per week in temp work that has been needed to keep up with productivity demands for the last seven years. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved the department will not have adequate coverage for the larger projects in the San Ramon Library.
