(District IV) Project No. 4841-6X5341 DATE: November 6. 2007 PAGE: 2 of 2 FISCAL IMPACT: In consideration for the conveyance of a water easement to Contra Costa Water District,Public Works has received $21.300.00 for Airport funds. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND: The District has existing pipeline manifolds and transmission mains located within small at-grade vaults and manholes. The facilities will only be used in the event of an emergency and during periodic (annual) routine maintenance. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The District will not be able to install valves and manifolds on transmission mains which would allow them to reconnect its treated water service system in the event that a seismic event causes below ground pipelines over the Concord Fault to rupture.
