SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve amendment to Exhibit A to the General Services Department's Conflict of Interest Code to substitute
the attached as Exhibit A to said code, as shown on the attached memorandum from the Department.
BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
The General Services Department has amended Exhibit A to its conflict of interest code and submitted the
amendment to the Board for approval pursuant to Government Code section 87306 and 87306.5.

category in the code subject to the following limitation: The (executive director or executive officer) may determine in
writing that a particular consultant, although a"designated position,"is hired to perform a range of duties that is limited in
scope and thus is not required to comply fully with the disclosure requirements described in this section. Such
determination shall include a description of the consultant's duties and, based upon that description, a statement of the
extent of disclosure requirements. The (executive director's or executive officer's) determination is a public record and
shall be retained for public inspection in the same manner and location as this conflict of interest code.
