Applications for County Portion of the TLC Program
Page 2
I
BACKGROUND:
I
The Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency recently applied to Metropolitan
Transportation Commission's TLC program for funding of three projects. These projects j
included the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing of Treat Blvd. in the Pleasant Hill BART/Contra
Costa Centre area, Montalvin Manor Pedestrian Improvement Project in West County, and
Bailey Road Streetscape Improvements in the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station Area.
These projects were not awarded through the program: however they are eligible for the
funding through the County Portion of the TLC Program. Contra Costa County will have
almost $4.91 million to allocate for the program. Application limits are set between
$300,000 and $1;000,000, with a required local match of at least 11.5 percent for each i
project. The application deadline for these applications is October 13, 2006.
