County sra co DATE: October 3, 2006 on's•{ SUBJECT: P300 #20139-Employment and Human Services Q, ` SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 20139, canceling one (1) permanent full-time Clerk- Senior Level (JWXC) position #12885 (Represented) and adding one (1) Administrative Services Assistant III (APTA) position (Unrepresented). FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, these actions will result in an annual cost of $38,784.00. These positions are 100% funded by federal and state revenues. BACKGROUND: The Department is requesting these actions due to their fiscal operational design requiring an additional Administrative Services Assistant III position to analyze the program regulations and parameters and make recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Division Manager. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved, the Department will have insufficient fiscal staff to effectively administer and monitor the program budgets.
