SUBJECT: Position Adjustment Resolution #20031
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #20031 establishing the project
classification of Special Project Manager and adding one position.
FISCAL IMPACT: The cost associated with this action is approximately $79,000 annually and will be
covered by Vital Records Fees and Code Compliance Revenues.
BACKGROUND: This project position is needed to support the Board of Supervisors' Zero
Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative. Duties of the position will include: planning, monitoring,
evaluating, and reporting on the progress of the Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative;
working with other departments and agencies'to develop and implement coordinated, integrated, and
multi-disciplinary services for individuals affected by or at risk of domestic violence and elder abuse;
developing funding opportunities to support the program objectives; and supervising staff.
RESULT OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without this additional position, there will be inadequate staff
support for the Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative.
