HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01102006 - C.15 CJS �tiZI,VV/"W �!�Zur'(/W � /�j�J V �i��V!/C/ {���jj�, � • �iI(/(/W RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING RESOLUTION NO. 2006/10 INAUGURAL DIVERSITY EVENT IN THE CROCKETT-RODEO AREA OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY WHEREAS, in an effort to raise its visibility and increase its effectiveness as a force for positive change and to encourage collaborative relationships for the benefit of the communities of Crockett, Rodeo and the surrounding areas, the ConocoPhillips Community Advisory Panel (CAP) through its Diversity Event Committee have joined with the New Horizons Career Development Center to host an inaugural event celebrating diversity; and WHEREAS, the event will bring together community members, elected officials, local businesses and social and cultural organization for a morning of inspirational speakers and musical entertainment for residents and others Coming Together to Celebrate Diversity; and WHEREAS, it is our hope that the significance of this event will be celebrated in the years to come and become an annual event that benefits not just the Crockett-Rodeo area, but all of Contra Costa County; and WHEREAS, the District 2 Supervisor as well as the rest of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors praises and congratulates the ConocoPhillips Community Advisory Panel, Diversity Event Committee for their dedication to the well-being of the citizens of Crockett and Rodeo.
