(All Districts) Project # 4505-2310-SAS905SAS DATE: February 28, 2006 PAGE: 2 REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND: This contract extension with Margaret Fong is necessary for continuation of service while the Department explores the possibility of creating a permanent position to handle the services end and responsibilities covered by this contract. Her services are needed for the provision of community programming and support services for County Service Area M-17, MonTaraBay Community Center(20%) and other County Service Areas (80%). CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this agreement is not approved, community programming and support services for the Public Works Department will be negatively impacted without a contract for these services.
