#24-778-15
BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
This Contract meets the social needs of County's population in that it provides intensive day
treatment, mental health services, medication support, and case management services for SED
children at Mt. Diablo High School to reduce the need for out-of-home placements.
On December 20, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #24-778-14 with
FamiliesFirst, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, (with a six-month
automatic extension through December 31, 2006) for the provision of Day Treatment and Mental
Health Services for SED Children.
Approval of Novation Contract #24-778-15 replaces the automatic extension under the prior
Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2007.
