BACKGROUND: On June 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2002/377, which requires that each regular and ongoing board, commission, or committee shall annually report to the Board of Supervisors on its activities, accomplishments, membership attendance, required training/certification (if any), and proposed work plan or objectives for the following year, on the second Tuesday in December. Random Acts of Kindness Awards The event was held at the Board Chambers where 10 citizens and community groups were honored with Certificates, scrolls, and recognition from the Board of Supervisors... J. First Annual Youth Awards CEREMONY This program was held at the Concord Library and was well attended,the honorees were 7 youth who had entered the poster contest as well as participated in the Random Acts of Kindness. 4. Bridging the Gap Awards The event was well attended. and we honored 12 individuals and organizations from the 55 supervisoral districts. They were given marble plaques, County Certificates. Senatorial resolutions. Greeting from Senator Barbara Boxer. j The Commission brought on board two new commissioners, Harmon West and Warren ` Rose, as well as voted to reappoint Liz-Williams Thomas. and Gerald Williams. The commission is proud to welcome our new support staff. Sharon Brown.
