BACKGROUND: This Resolution would authorize employees in the non-sworn job classifications hired before January 1, 2006, who are in paid status, in permanent or temporary positions as of November 14, 2006, to receive a one-time payment of $1,500.00. Employees in permanent part-time, permanent- intermittent, or temporary positions shall receive the one-time payment of $1,500.00 on a prorated basis. The one-time payment shall be subject to all of the usual tax withholding and retirement deductions and shall be paid on the December 10, 2006 pay warrant. Consistent with the agreement reached with the Deputy Sheriff's Association- Rank and File Unit (DSA), the lump sum payment is provided only to those non-sworn employees who did not receive a wage increase during Fiscal Year 2005-2006.
