SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
ADD one (1) full-time Account Clerk-Advanced Level (JDTD) position (represented);
CANCEL one (1) full-time Clerk-Senior Level (JWXC) position 43336 (represented).
ANNUAL & FISCAL IMPACT
The total annual cost of this action is $4,324.50 and is offset with the cancellation of a vacant
Clerk-Senior Level position #3336.
BACKGROUND:
This action is being requested by the Office of the Sheriff to provide clerical accounting support
to the Administrative Services Bureau-Fiscal & Finance Division. During the reorganization of
the Finance Division, the need for additional Account Clerk positions was identified. The
requested position will increase the department's flexibility to distribute workload and address
cross-training needs.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGTIVE ACTION:
Insufficient clerical accounting support staff to the Finance Division.
