Federal and State funds) (All Districts) I FISCAL IMPACT: I The cost of this contract is funded by the department's Head Start and Early Head Start grants as well as the department's Child Development funds. The cost of the contract is included in the Community Services Department's FY 2006-07 budget. There is no net County cost to this contract. Stable. and Nurturing." These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low- income children throughout Contra Costa County. I BACKGROUND: On September 12. 2006. the Board of Supervisors approved a contract with John Gunnarson to provide training and technical assistance to create a professional development program. The scope of work for the contract is to be continued through June 30, 2007 with no change to the payment limit. Approval of this contract amendment will assist the department to meet Head Start standards and regulations for on-going professional development for all staff. I I I
