HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12122006 - PR.1 - P12 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County,California In the Matter of Recognizing Mark DeSaulnier Upon His Election to the California State Assembly After Fourteen Years of Service as the Supervisor for Contra Costa County,District IV RESOLUTION NO.2006/772 WHEREAS Mark DeSaulnier was appointed by former Governor Gray Davis on March 31,1994 to serve as the Contra Costa County District IV Supervisor;and WHEREAS Mark was subsequently elected in November 1994 and re-elected in 1998;in 2002,he retained his seat with 80 percent of the vote-the highest percentage recorded in a contested election in the history of the county;and WHEREAS during his tenure on the Board,-Mark championed.dmi l services to'Iwo'of the County's most vulnerable populations: women and children.
