FISCAL IMPACT: This action will result in an annual cost of $17,733.00. Funding for this position is within the Department's budget and will come from Enterprise I. BACKGROUND: The Department is requesting the addition of one Assistant Health Services Systems Director to assume the responsibilities for managing the operations of Development and Application support. Currently, these duties are distributed between the Department Director and an Assistant Health Services Systems Director who manages the Network and Systems Support function. With the addition of the second Assistant Health Services Systems Director, the Department Director will no longer manage the day-to-day operations of the systems development and application support functions and will be able to dedicate his time to the global scope of responsibilities including planning, budgeting, workforce development, information technology trends and innovations, and participation on various boards and commissions.
