SUBJECT: Position Adjustment Resolution#19982
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION : Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution # 19982 abandoning the attached list
of classifications.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no cost associated with this action.
BACKGROUND: As part of a project to clean up the County's classification system, Human
Resources identified a list of a few hundred classifications that no longer had any positions
associated with them and were not being utilized. Human Resources conferred with all County
Departments regarding the future need of these classifications and discovered that many of the
classifications were obsolete and would not be used again in the future. As a result, Human
Resources is requesting that the attached list of classifications be abandoned. All Department's have
given their consent to this action.
RESULT OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, Human Resources will have to
keep an additional 120D classifications on the books that are obsolete and no longer used.
