On this date,, the Board called for public comment. The following person
presented testimony:
Roland Katz (P.E.U. Local 1), 5034 Blum Road, Martinez, regarding
Department of Child Support Services, Managers and Administration attending
a week long training in San Diego when the County has no money to negotiate.
The following individuals left their comments via electronic mail:
Lindsay, Monte Vista High School urging the Board to develop the second
parking lot at Monte Vista High School;
Brenda F. Barnette, Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation regarding

worctng on Ordinance 2005- 24 Dangerous Animals;
Carole Doss-Abel, requesting the Board to reconsider and not to destroy the
history of Martinez.

Comments:
I am from--monte vista Highs school and here that they may not be putting in
the 'sq"econd parking lot accross the-.street. To me that is a very bad idea. I am
a sophmore at the high school and will be drivning soon. I know for a fact if
you dont have a parking pass you have to leave before zero period in order to
even thing of parking you car next to the park or accross the street.
It is rediculous of what we have to do in order to park our cars even. when car
pooling!
With the new portables taking up so much spaces that used to be available
there will not be enough room for all the seniors in the upcoming classes to
park in the parking lot that we have. Withe the second parking lotpeople can
relax and not rush to school inorder to park. Everyone wh needs aparking spot
or deserves one(seniors)will get on if they put in the second parking lot . it
is hard for our parents to keep o driving us to school in traffic just because
we cant park. I will be driving soon and my brother had to leave our house
very early to get a spot next to the park. It isnt even funny how hard it was
for the both of to get to school.
Please develope the second parking lot! For the footbal game moreppl can come
as well!
