(DA 29G Fund) (District V) Project No.: 7568-6D8468-04 DATE: October 25, 2005 PAGE: 2 II. Financial Imp ct: The total estimated contract cost is $700,000, funded by Flood Control DA 29G Funds. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: A. On August 9, 2005, the Board of Supervisors declared an emergency and authorized the Chief Engineer to proceed in the most expeditious manner to repair the Storm Drain. B. Repair status: The project was awarded to Mountain Cascade, Inc. of Livermore. The construction began on September 12, 2005. Construction is expected to be complete by the middle of November 2005. This project is approximately 85% complete. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Non-concurrence of the above recommendation will significantly delay repair of the storm drain and could result in flooding or failure of the road.
