FISCAL IMPACT: This action will result in an annual cost of $66,132. 80% of the funding is provided through state and federal revenues. The remaining 20% is from the County General fund. BACKGROUND: The Department is requesting this addition in order to replace the unit supervisor who will be reassigned to the new Medi-Cal Service Center (MCSC) on November 1 , 2005. The Clerical Supervisor position is the requested classification to be added because the unit is comprised entirely of clerical staff and the supervisory need will be for a Clerical Supervisor. The Medi-Cal Mail-in Unit receives approximately 1 ,200 Medi-Cal applications per month. The Clerical Supervisor assigned to this unit will ensure that unit members provide applicants with prompt and timely access to the Medi-Cal program.
