FISCAL IMPACT: This action will result in an annual cost savings of$2,148 BACKGROUND: The Department is requesting these changes to accommodate the implementation of the CALWin system. The transition to CALWin involves meet and confers with the major unions, classification review and other critical personnel issues. In order to manage the workload, the assignments related to cultural diversity and investigation of complaints will now be shared among the unit. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The consequence of negative action will result in the Department not havin adequate stable and trained staff to maintain quality services for the Depakwo� nt and County. BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECONMNDAT ION(S) On September 2.7, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #76-531-1 with Celeste B. Waters,, M. D. , for the provision of professional psychiatric services for County patients at Richmond Health Center, for the period from September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006. The purpose of this Board Order is to advise the Board that the Department and the Contractor have agreed to terminate Contract #76-531-1, effective close of business on September 30, 2005.
