SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement#22-353-27 with Desarrollo Familiar
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner, MD) to
execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #22-353-27 with Desarrollo
Familiar, anon-profit corporation, effective October 1, 2005, to amend Contract #22-353-26, to .
increase the Contract payment limit by $3,000, from $32,800 to a new total of$35,800, with no
change in the original teen from July 1,2005 through June 30,2006.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100%by State Department of Health Services, Office of AIDS. No County
match is required.
BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
On June 7, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-353-26 with Desarrollo Familiar
for the period from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, for the provision of HIV/AIDS education,
prevention and outreach services in West County.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-353-27 will allow the Contractor to provide
additional HIV/AIDS education and prevention services in West County,through June 30,2006.
