RECOMMENDATION
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 19969 adding one (1) Information Systems Project
Manager position and canceling Information Systems Manager I position #6205 in the Contra Costa
County Library.
FISCAL IMPACT
There are no costs associated with this action; the classifications are compensated equally.
BACKGROUND
This action is requested by the Contra Costa County Library to better reflect the duties and
responsibilities of the position. The Library Information System Unit is program dependant and
project driven. The department is continually exploring new ways in technology to improve customer
services and to provide better information access to the public.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION
If the position is not added, the classification will not truely reflective of the duties and
responsibilities of the position.
