Until this board figures how to run its own county with some demonstration of
fiscal responsibility, it cannot possibly spare the time to address NATIONAL
POLICY! Get a grip on reality, folks!

Opposed to any time spent on issues outside of County business. I support our
President's judgement and understanding of all of the ramifications of the war
in Iraq. Our County Supervisors should not even be discussing national
issues! Please do not waste our County's time and money. Thanks for
listening.

Please stop wasting time on issues not within your jurisdiction,
like where the National Guard is sent.
Such political posturing sreflects neither the priorities nor the
constituency of CCC.. We are not LA.

Thank you for reading my email.
would like my comments passed on to the County Board of Supervisors.
am writing about a recent story something that happened in your Animal Services Department.
Perhaps, you don't remember the case of Bella and the Santa Clara Humane Society. A couple of years
ago, the Santa Clara Humane Society adopted out a dog by the name Bella. The owners of Bella had
been looking for her at the shelter and had not seen her. Bella was adopted to another family.
Public outcry was enormous. The Humane Society claimed they couldn't do anything about it. The public
did do something about it. They kept in the news. They made the Humane Society look bad. Many
people refused to contribute to the Humane Society after this. The executive director looked foolish. The
adopting family looked like cruel, horrible, noncaring people.
The news media may make a field day out of this fiasco. I am asking ABC7 to continue to pursue this by
publicizing this misdeed until this wrong is made right.
You might wonder why I care... I have pets. They are my best friends. And, when you lose your best
friend, you lose everything. It hurts. This case doesn't have to turn out that way. Libby didn't have to lose
her best friend. She didn't have to be hurt.
The Animal Services Department told Libby she should come get her dog. Libby communicated with the
Animal Services Department when she could not make it. In any case, she got there before the five day
waiting period was over, which was the policy stated on the website. However,Animal Services just said
that the website information was wrong.
It seems that the Animal Services Department is more afraid of the new owner than the original owner. It
makes me wonder if this is the case because Libby is a woman of color. I wonder if there is some
discrimination in this situation.
Lt. Nancy Anderson did a poor job of handling the interview on television. She really looked like a fool
answering the questions. Animal Services was wrong in their handling of this situation.
And, now, it needs to be fixed.
