APPROVE lnd AUTHORIZE the allocation of$218,440 from the Crockett two-Generation Property
Tac Allocation for five projects as recommended by the Crockett Community Foundation.

In Se° t m I ber 1995, the Board of Supervisors appointed the Crockett Community Foundation as
the advisory council to the Board regarding .. pen tur from the Community Benefits Progr m
funded fro m propertytax assessments on the Crockett Co-Generation Tart.
On November 3, 20059 by the attached Resolution 2005-1, the Crockett Community Foundation
recommended that $218,440 in property takes Obtained from Crockett Co-Generation Plant he
allocated to the Crockett Community Foundation as follows-.
1. $23,644 for the benefit of the Crockett Recreation Association for capital improvements
and maintenance t the Crockett swimming pool and park facility;
. $27,2 9 for the benefit of County Service Area P-1/R-1 for operations, maintenance,
and capital projects at the Crockett tt Com ur it Center;
3. $20,000 for the benefit of the Crockett Library to continua to provide sic additional
hours of operation and special library programs;

TO SPECIFIC USES OF BENEFIT TO CROCKED
WHEREAS, the Crockett Community Foundation desires to allocate $ 18,440 inn
Crockett c ne ation Return-to-Source funds for ,projects and services of benefit + Crockett;
and
WHEREAS, the Crockett Librafy has demonstrated the. need to augment availably
for operating the Crockett Library, so as to continue to provide six additional hour
of operation d special library programs; and
WHEREAS, the Crockett Recreation Association has 4emonstrated the reed to
augment t arra funding for capital improvements and maintenance at the Crockett swimming
pool and park facility; and
WHEREAS, the County Service,area P-1/R-1 Advisory Committee has demonstrated
the need to augment available funding for both operations/ma*

WHEREAS, the Crockett Carquinez Fire Department has demonstrated the reed to

WHEREAS, the Crockett-Valois Sanitary District has demonstrated the need t

WHEREAS, each of these five agencies regularly relies on property taxes to fund
portion of its annual budget and is empowered by law and/or local voters'to receive property tai
revenues to porde public services to Crockett; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Su sora of Contra Costa County did on September 1 ,
1995, appoint the Crockett Community ty Foundation as the advisory council to the Board o
Supervisors regarding expenditures from the Community Benefits Program funded from new
property tai increment of the Crockett Co en ration Plant; ars
