SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION : Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #20030 establishing the classification
of Administrative Analyst— Project and adding one position.
FISCAL IMPACT: The cost associated with this action is approximately $53,000 annually and will be
covered by Vital Records Fees and Code Compliance Revenues.
BACKGROUND: This position is needed to support the Board of Supervisors' Zero Tolerance for
Domestic Violence Initiative. Duties of the position will include overseeing and monitoring the
administration of contracts and budgets, compiling and analyzing statistics and interpreting data,
preparing reports and presentations, and researching funding opportunities. Staff has studied the
duties to be performed and determined that Administrative Analyst is the appropriate classification.
RESULT OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without this additional position, there will be inadequate staff
support for the Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative.
