Dear Mr. Ryezik: On August 12, 2004, Centra Costa County submitted comments on the scope and implementation of the Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians Trust Acquisition and Casing Project in Contra Costa County(attached). We are concerned that the scoping report does not include all the issues raised by Contra Costa County, including, but not limited to Centra Costa County Redevelopment Agency revenue impact,jobs/housing balance, child care and community employment. We respectfully request that all the issues raised by Contra Costa County in its August letter be included in the EIS. In addition, as we noted in our last letter to you, we have concerns regarding the purpose and need section in the scoping report and will advise you of our concerns under separate cover.
