FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this Contract is included in the Department's Enterprise I budget. BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR RECOMMENDATION(S): On (December 15, 1998, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-253 (as amended by subsequent Amendments #23-253-1 through #23-2.53-5) with Resource Information Management Systems, Inc., for the period from January 15, 1999 through January 15, 2004, and from year to year thereafter, unless terminated as specified in the Contract, for a Year 2000 compliant Health Plan Management Information System (software license and implementation). Resource Information Management Systems, Inc., has been purchased by, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The TriZetto Group, Inc. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23--253---6 will allow the Contractor to provide ongoing software license and support for the Resource Information Management Systems (RIMS) Health Plan Management Information System. BACKOROUND/REASONtSIF„OR RECOMMENDATIONfS): On January 6,2004,the Board of Supervisors approved Contract#23-324-2 with Toyon Associates, Inc., to provide consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to healthcare financial issues including,but not limited to,healthcare financial consultation,research and advice, for the period from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004. Approval of Contract 423-324-3 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide services through December 31, 2005. Approval of Contract #23--325-4 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through December 31,2005. BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR BEC OMMENDATIONM: On November 3, 2004, the Board of Supervisors approved:Contract##74-1882 with Youth Homes, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005, (which included a six-month Automatic Extension through December 31, 2005) for the provision of Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS)to County referred clients, ages 0-21 years of age. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74---188--3 will allow the Contractor to provide services to additional children,through June 30,2005. FISCAL TMI!ACTT: This contract is funded 100%by the Department's Enterprise I Budget. $ACKGTToTtNI11RFAS0N(S)FOR RF..CQMMF.N ATIQN(S): For many years the County has contracted with registries to provide temporary qualified personnel to assist the Department during peak workloads,temporary absences and emergency situations. On December 2, 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-429-4 (as amended. by Amendment Agreement #26-429-5) with J &. C Nationwide, for the recruitment of temporary physician services to cover vacation, sick leave, and extended leave relief for County-employed physicians at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Main Detention Facility for the period from January 1, 2004 through December 31,2005. At the time of negotiations,the payment limit was based upon target levels of utilization. However, the,utilization during the term of the agreement was actually higher than originally anticipated. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-429-5 will allow Contractor to continue to provide services to Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers to cover vacations, sick leave and extended leave,through December 31,2005.
