SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. ADOPT Resolution approving the conveyance of property to Santiago H. Calderon and Maria
Calderon,Blanca L. Flores and Tierney E. Britton.
2. DETERMINE property to be no longer necessary for County purposes.
3. APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the conveyance of said property to Santiago H. Calderon and Maria
Calderon, Blanca L. Flores and Tierney E. Britton,pursuant to Government Code § 25526.5.
4. AUTHORIZE the Chair,Board of Supervisors,to execute Grant Deeds on behalf of the County.

REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
The County acquired certain real property at various times in 2001 and 2002 for the State Route 4 Widening, Railroad
Avenue to Loveridge Road Project. The improvements along Frontage Road have been completed and these small portions
of land are no longer required for the project. The County wishes to convey these portions of land to the adjacent property
owners to be used as additional plottage at no cost to the owner and to relieve the County of the liability of maintaining the
property.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County would own and be liable for the maintenance of the property.

SUBJECT: ADOPT Resolution No. 2005/ 18 approving the Conveyance of Surplus Real
Property by Grant Deed in connection with the State Route 4 Widening, Railroad
Avenue to Loveridge Road, Pittsburg area. (District V) [SCH No. 97102003]
Project No. 4660-6X4287
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property at various times during 2001 and 2002 in
the Pittsburg area,described in Exhibit"A"attached hereto,for roadway purposes. Said property is
DETERMINED to be surplus and no longer necessary for County or other public purposes and its
estimated value does not exceed$25,000.00.
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of said property
pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.5 and the Chair, Board of Supervisors, is hereby
AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant Deed on behalf of the County.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Grant Deed to be delivered to the grantee.
I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an
action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of
Supervisors on the date shown.
