AUTHORIZE the Chair,Board of Supervisors,to execute Grant Deeds on behalf of the County. Britton, Pittsburg area. District V. Project No. 4660-6X4287 DATE: January 4, 2005 PAGE: 2 of 2 REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND: The County acquired certain real property at various times in 2001 and 2002 for the State Route 4 Widening, Railroad Avenue to Loveridge Road Project. The improvements along Frontage Road have been completed and these small portions of land are no longer required for the project. The County wishes to convey these portions of land to the adjacent property owners to be used as additional plottage at no cost to the owner and to relieve the County of the liability of maintaining the property. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The County would own and be liable for the maintenance of the property. Said property is DETERMINED to be surplus and no longer necessary for County or other public purposes and its estimated value does not exceed$25,000.00. This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of said property pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.5 and the Chair, Board of Supervisors, is hereby AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant Deed on behalf of the County.
